My name is Julie McInally, I started dancing at the age of 3 and haven't stopped since!!!! Gaining entrance to Dance For All Theatre School's full time professional Dance Course in Edinburgh I trained for three years studying ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary and musical theatre, at the same time getting a taste of other styles within this time including flamenco, singing and national.
I graduated with an HND in Professional Stage Dance and an Associate Teaching qualification with the ISTD (the world's leading dance examination board). For the past 7 years I have performed in and choreographed many productions both singing and dancing, I have been teaching throughout Edinburgh and Lothians in many well known and established dance schools, clubs and organisations including Dance Base, Dance For All, Edinburgh City Council, Edinburgh University, Buckstone Youth Dance, Midlothian Active Schools, North Edinburgh Arts and much more. I now run a dance school in Penicuik called Dance Pointe Academy which offers a wide range of classes for it's students ensuring there is something for every one, whether they are come just for fun and exercise or are looking to pursue a career in the industry.
I left Scotland for a year and traveled through out North America, South East Asia, Australasia and the Pacific Islands; throughout this time I attended numerous classes gaining valuable experience along the way (most notably on Broadway, New York). I am currently studying to complete my BA Honours Dance at Telford college which I feel will help enhance my teaching and choreography skills.
